Leith CRAIC Collective
We are a small volunteer-led collective with DIY ethos, regularly opening the doors of Sketchy Beats as a social centre on Saturdays. We aim to provide a safe space where neighbours can meet, resources are shared, connections & creative pursuits can strengthen & grow. The space is equipped with games, arts & crafts supplies, zines, instruments, music equipment, tea & coffee/kitchen access. Got a creative project you’re working on, want to start something new, or wish to simply exist in a welcoming & supportive environment?Come get the craic with us.
Safer Spaces
We actively engage with the local community to collaborate on events that centre and benefit marginalised groups and provide a space where they can feel safe and emboldened to be themselves without fear. We uphold a Zero Tolerance approach toward any form of abusive or unacceptable behaviour (Please read over our Safer Spaces Policy). Treat one another with dignity & respect.
Accessibility
The social space on the ground floor is wheelchair-accessible with tables and comfortable seating however, unfortunately, the gender-neutral restroom and rehearsal space downstairs are not accessible for a wheelchair user. There is an accessible toilet located nearby at Taylor Gardens Public Toilet (see map) which is unlocked every day from 10 am -6 pm.
Please notify a volunteer for a key outside of these hours.
MEET YOUR NEIGHBOURS.
